Last month, Moroccan authorities granted Emmerson Plc a mining permit for its Khemisset potash project. With this approval, the company has logically accelerated activities to allow the mine to begin production quickly, according to the Ecofin agency.
In Morocco, the construction of the Khemisset potash mine will start by the end of the year. At least that is what the management of Emmerson Plc wants, and they are working hard to meet the schedule, which includes a production start-up date of 2023.
In an operational update to shareholders issued on March 11, the mining company indicated that funding for construction would be raised in the second half of 2021. In this regard, the company plans to conduct a conceptual study to reduce the initial capital while increasing the final production capacity.
